Privacy policy

Plain-language version: we keep what you send us to quote your board, we keep your design files on isolated storage, the assistant does not read inside them, signing in is optional, and we delete any of it on request.

What we collect

When you submit a quote request we store the name, work email, phone number, company, country and industry you enter, the board details you choose, the message you write, and any design files you upload.

We do not run advertising trackers and we do not sell or rent your data. Site analytics are cookie-free and aggregated — they tell us that a quote form was started, not who started it.

Why we hold it

The only purpose is preparing and following up on your quote: reviewing manufacturability, pricing the build, and answering your questions. We also keep quote records to satisfy our own tax and audit obligations.

Design files

Gerber, drill, BOM and STEP files sit on isolated storage separate from the public website. Access is limited to the engineering and quoting staff working on your enquiry. We do not share them with other customers, and we do not use them to build anything other than your order.

A mutual NDA is available on request before you upload anything — ask and we will send it the same working day.

How long we keep it

Design files are deleted 24 months after the last activity on the enquiry unless your programme requires a longer retention, in which case we agree the period in writing. Quote records are kept for the period our accounting obligations require.

The AI assistant

What you type in the chat panel is sent to our assistant service to answer you, together with the files you attach there. Attachments are stored and forwarded to our engineers as a time-limited download link; their contents are not inspected or analysed to answer you, and the assistant never quotes a price or approves a design.

The conversation you can see is also kept in your own browser for seven days so that the panel is not empty when you come back. Clearing your browser data removes that copy; ask us and we delete our side.

If you ask for a human, we email our sales or engineering queue straight away with the conversation summary and an internal ticket number, before you have given us any contact details. That message says explicitly that we have no way to reach you yet — nothing is sent to you until you fill in the form.

Signing in

Signing in is optional — the chat and the quote form both work without an account. It exists so that the conversations you had on one device show up on another.

Sign-in is handled for us by Auth0 (Okta). If you choose to continue with Google, Google authenticates you and tells us your email address and name; we never see your Google password. We store your email address and an internal account id, and the ids of the chat sessions you have claimed — not the conversations themselves.

Ask us and we delete the account, which unlinks those sessions.

Consent, and taking it back

The tick box on the chat form and on the quote form is the basis on which we email your requirements to our own team and reply to you. Nothing is sent to our team from the chat form until you tick it and submit.

You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us; we stop contacting you about the enquiry and delete the record on request. Withdrawing does not undo emails already sent internally, so tell us and we will delete those records too.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us and we will confirm within 30 days. If your data is processed in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Processors we use

We use third-party providers for hosting, file storage, transactional email, sign-in and cookie-free analytics. Each one processes data only on our instructions.

Named here because you are redirected to them: Auth0 (Okta) handles sign-in, and Google authenticates you if you pick that option. We can name the rest on request.
